Just a Spoonful of Sugar Makes the Medicine Go Down...

It's been slightly more than a week since Xin Rui fell sick. previously we were practically force-feeding her the medicine and it was painful to watch. However after a few days of medicine, she surprising took the syringe and put it into her mouth. All I had to do is push the syringe and viola, she has taken the medicine. Though sometimes, she will put up a little resistance when I attempt to hold the syringe, as always when I try to grab the spoon of fork away from her. I think that she thinks she's a big girl now, so she can feed herself and nobody should help her. Hahah!

Observing the syringe before popping it into her mouth....

Looking as if she's eating a lollipop....hee!

This reminded me that some time back, she was also like that when we had to feed her medicine for a long time due to her viral infection. Seems to me that she has resigned to her fate of taking medicine and that it really didn't taste that bad. Most of her medicine were fruit flavoured. In fact, I took one of her medicine for phlegm. It tasted like orange and it worked for me. Hahaha! Children medicine taste so much nicer than adults. Another of Xin Rui's flu medicine taste like banana...hahaha and my hubby took her medicine when he himself had flu...hahaha!
