Vaccination Again

Today, we finally brought Xin Rui for her third vaccination. The clinic was surprisingly quite empty except for 2-3 babies. In fact, the nurse called me beforehand to ask if I was coming, which was very rare for their clinic is always full. Hahaha!

This time, we could see a drastic difference in Xin Rui. The moment I placed her on the leather cushion on the doctor's table, she turned as stiff as a rock and she looked pretty tensed up. I remembered the last time I brought her to see Dr Terrence Tan, she was still smiley and happily looking at the toys hanging above her and she hardly cried when she had her vaccination. But this time was very different, I think she has gradually learnt to associate that place with needles and it will hurt, so she did not look too happy when I laid her down. :P She cried when the doctor poked the needle into her thigh and I had to carry her to stop her crying.

Dr Terrence Tan commented that Xin Rui would be a tall girl, juding by how much she grew in 3 months. The last time we measured, she was 64.5cm long, now she's 68cm long. Her head circumference also increased by 1cm to 43cm and her weight increased by 640g to 7.5kg. Give her a few more months and she will become as heavy as my chubby dog. Hahaha!

We met one couple with a baby boy who looked like he's around 3 months old and they asked how old Xin Rui is. We told them that she's around 6 months and they looked very surprised cos they thought Xin Rui is around 1 year old!?! Hahaha! Guess that's my girl :)

So far, Xin Rui is not feverish but we gave her the fever medicine, just in case. We had fed her water with pao4 shen1 beforehand, hoping she will not be feverish this time. Hope it will work. Cross my fingers.
