Thanks to the frequency of me taking photos of my two girls, Xin Rui has been 'trained' to automatically pose whenever she sees me with my camera and her standard pose is to display 3 fingers instead of 2 for the peace sign. Think it's somehow easier for her to show 3 instead of 3 fingers. :)
She often also carry a soft toy with her whenever she goes, a habit she developed ever since going to the childcare centre. Sometimes, she will carry two toys with her but upon my insistence, she will give one up unwillingly. Her new favourite is the dalmatian soft toy from IKEA. Recently, we went to IKEA again and she insisted on bringing her dalmatian toy. Not wanting people to mistaken that we stole the toy, I divert Xin Rui's attention and hide the toy in my bag. When she discovered that it was gone and make noise, I went to the toy section and got her the toy as a temporary replacement. Haha!

Xin Rui also enjoys drawing and colouring even though she can't really draw or colour very well. She's left-handed like her Daddy though we are encouraging her to use her right hand to write. If left unattended, she will doodle on the table or wall. *Faintz*

Xin Rui can be quite stubborn and naughty at times, so I use the 'time-out' concept. I created a 'Naughty Corner' at one corner of our living room and make her sit there for 10 minutes whenever she misbehaves. So far, it's working and she will sit in the corner without much resistence. She generally stops crying in the naughty corner after a short while. But sometimes, she will cry till she fall asleep in the naughty corner. Hahaha!
