Xin Lin is easily the louder, noiser, cheekier and naughtier of my two daughters. She's the less gentle one and laughs heartily like a boy. Many people have mistaken her for a boy because of her mannerisms. But with her hair growing a little longer, she looks slightly more girly now. Hahaha!
She is a very active toddler and likes to climb up and down just like her jie jie but she is more ruggard and tomboyish in nature. She also like to dance but her version of dancing is bouncing her body up and down or turning round in circles.
She is a fast learner and is able to sing some songs, well at least part of the lyrics. She can sing half of the ABC song, say 1,2,3,4,5....10 (both in English and Mandarin), skipping 6 - 9 most of the time. She is able to say more words like Daddy, Mummy, Bye Bye, Bao Bao (hug), Mum Mum (eat), Bing Gan (biscuit), Munk Munk (my dog's name) and Hao Chi (yummy). Her favourite word is of course '不要'. Her reply to any question is always '不要' even when she may not mean it. Hee! She knows how to manipulate you and act pitiful when you scold her for doing anything naughty. She will lower her head a little and stretch out her hands and ask you to 抱抱 in a bid to escape scolding or beating.
She's normally into some sort of mischief and will attempt to do it while you are not looking. If you catch her, she will throw whatever's she mayb be holding in her hands and run away immediately. Hahaha!

Naughty Xin Lin 'seeing stars'...
Xin Lin also has a hearty and sometimes 'evil' laugh. The way she laughs sounds pretty much like those typical bad guys you see in the movies or cartoon. We have no idea why she laughs this way but it's really cute to hear her laugh. She will throw back her head and go "Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha ha!" :)
Pretending to be a good girl after climbing on the side drawer...
Xin Lin's 'evil laugh' after getting her way...:)
"Ooohh, Daddy's shoes. I wonder if I can fit into them?"
"Mummy, do I look good in Daddy's shoes? Uh? What do you mean that the shoes are too big?"
This is the way I ride in a trolley...
Though both my daughters sleep pretty late, Xin Lin falls asleep much easily compared to her elder sister. I supposed it's because she likes to suck her left thumb. Studies have shown that babies who suck their thumb tends to soothe themselves better and fall asleep faster. I'm still trying to help her kick this thumb-sucking habit. Previously, I will pinch her nose slightly to make her open her mouth to breathe. At first, it worked for a while as she has to open her mouth in order to breathe. After sometime, she will turn her head away as soon as my fingers touch her nose. :P She sucks her thumb so hard that she leaves a deep mark on it and it turns all red. Hopefully I will be able to help her kick this habit soon...
...and it's nice to sleep in it too...
"My Mummy says she envies that I can sleep anytime, anywhere"
"Mummy, here I come!" :)
