Meal Time at the Childcare Centre
Managed to steal a few pics when Xin Rui is busy eating...
Happiest when eating...:)
Cousin Xin Ying prefers to be fed that day...
I took leave for the 1st 3 days, knowing that Xin Rui will have problem settling down in a completely new environment. As expected, she clinged onto me and cry most of the time during the 3-4 hours at the centre. She only stopped a while when the teacher gave her a sticker and let her do some colouring. She ended up so exhausted and slept immediately after drinking her milk. In the end, we brought her back early than intended.
The 2nd day was much better and she hardly cry but she will still cling to me most of the time. She can feed herself very well when it comes to meal time, though still a bit messy. On the 3rd day, I left without her noticing and hid outside to look at how she was coping. She just hugged her Pooh Bear and looked a bit dazed. I think it's because she woke up pretty early and was still not fully awake. On the 4th day, she was feeling grouchy again and hardly ate any breakfast. She was crying when I brought her to the centre but I had to leave her there, amidst all the pitiful crying. Fortunately, she stopped crying after the teacher carried her. When I went back to fetch her, the teacher told me she didn't eat much.
Today is the 5th day and I let my in-laws bring her to the centre. I'm hoping that without me around, she will cope better and not cry so much. Crossing my fingers...
