2287

That's the four numbers that Xin Rui blurted out in our car last weekend when she heard the radio DJ was reading out the 4D winning numbers. Initially she just say 'Er, er, er, er' which means 2 in mandarin. Then all of a sudden, she said 'Er, er ba qi' which means 2287 in mandarin. So we decided to buy the number. A pity it didn't win last weekend though. I wonder if it will come out this weekend? Hahaha!

Anyway, Xin Rui is saying more words now. I borrowed some books from the library last week and she loves flipping through the pages. I pointed to a dog in one of the books and she imitated the barking sound 'Woah Woah'. Now, whenever she picked up that book, she will bark like a dog, except it comes out more like "Erk Erk'. Hahaha.
Xin Rui happily flipping the pages...
Xin Rui: 'Bah Bah'
Mummy: Xin Rui, It's bear, not bah bah'

Xin Rui (more excitedly): 'Bah Bah, Bah bah'
Mummy: 'Sigh....fine, you win :p'

Though I purposely borrow some books that were almost 'impossible to destroy', Xin Rui surprised me by being quite gentle with those library books. She would just sit on the floor and flip through the pages. There's this book with lots of bears and the lyrics of 'If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands (ok, I duno the exact song title but I'm sure all of u have heard it before, hee) and Xin Rui simply adores that book. She will keep on flipping through the pages and occasionally saying 'Bah Bah' which is supposed to mean bear cos she saw the pictures of bears in the book. Btw, Xin Rui likes to say 'Bah Bah' a lot but it will sound slightly different when she mean different things. It could be baby, bear or Daddy. Hahaha! And when I sing the song, Xin Rui will start to clap her hands, twirl around and stamp her feet when I change the lyrics accordingly. Considering her love for dance and music. I think I should seriously consider sending her for dance and music classes :)
