Finally, I got the time to sit down and update my blog...It has been quite a while since my last entry and I feel guilty for not updating it, especially with all the milestones of Xin Lin.
Xin Lin prefers to feed herself nowadays. She will refuse to be fed and turn her face away if we were to attempt to bring the spoon near her mouth. As a result, she creates a big mess when she tries to feed herself. I can only try to clean up after her...sigh...

But her vocabulary is expanding fast though her favourite words are still 'No' and "Bu4 Yao4'. Whatever you ask her, she will answer 'bu yao'. A recent conversation with her was like this:

But her vocabulary is expanding fast though her favourite words are still 'No' and "Bu4 Yao4'. Whatever you ask her, she will answer 'bu yao'. A recent conversation with her was like this:
Me: Xin Lin, do you want to take a nap?
XL: Bu yao!
XL: Bu yao!
Me: Then do you want to drink water?
XL: Bu yao water!
Me: How about milk?
XL: Bu yao milk!
Me: Do you want to bao4 bao4 (hug)?
XL: Bu yao bao bao!!
XL: Bu yao bao bao!!
Me: How about strawberry?
XL (her whole face lit up with a radiant big smile and said in her sweetest voice): Strawberry
It's funny to have a conversation with her. She can repeat most of the words that we say. She can also identify all of us and call us the correct names. Previously I mentioned that she likes to call everyone Daddy, especially me. After repeated corrections, she finally calls me Mummy but she will add the word 'Daddy' almost immediately after. Hahaha! The most funny thing is that she started to call my hubby 'Mummy'.
Xin Lin is the naughtier and cheekier of my two daughters and it can be hard to control her when she throws tantrums. She knows how to manipulate you though she's barely 2 years old. She will throw things on the floor and say in her sachary sweet voice 'Sorry'. She will also take things from you and say 'Xie Xie'. My brother-in-law joked that she can be a MP in future, given her 'diplomatic ways'. Haha! But I have to say that it's difficult to stay angry with her for long, especially when she starts to reach out to you with both hands and ask you to hug her and starts to kiss you. My heart simply melts when she does that.
Though I know that she will be quite a handful when she grows up and we will to discipline her. I try not to think of that and instead savour this precious moments of her growing up.
