Been very busy with work and taking care of my babies for the past few weeks. It's been almost a month since I updated anything on the blog.
My poor gal, Xin Rui had high-grade fever 2 weeks ago and got me worrying when she hardly ate nor drank any milk for a few days. She even rejected her favourite candy and biscuits. Her fever would go as high as 40.5 degree and her whole body was very warm and her lips very red. She would sleep on the sofa (she refused to sleep on the bed for some unknown reason) most of the time while watching her favourite children song video. When she's awake, she would look quite dazed. We brought her to Kinder Clinic to see Dr Lee and was prescribed some fever medicine. But her temperature did not go down and we ran out of medicine, so we ended up sending her to KKH A&E after 2 days. The doctor suspected viral fever and wanted to take urine sample but was unsuccessful. After one day on the medicine and seeing no improvement, we brought her back to Kinder Clinic to see Dr Lee again. She decided to prescribe antibiotics for her. After taking the antibiotics for 1 day, we could see marked improvement in Xin Rui's condition. Her appetite finally came back and there was never a time when I was so glad to see her to her usual self and hear her asking for food constantly. Hahaha!
But just when I thought she is ok, she vomitted a few times last week and had diarrhoea as well. Sigh. Guess this will just go on, considering that she's attending childcare now. So my in-laws suggested to stop sending her to childcare till she bigger. Having no other choice, we could only get my mother to come take care of Xin Rui for the time being though she complained of leg pain and giddiness a while back. But at least now she's slightly better and she wont be so bored at home alone. But this is great news for Xin Rui as I can tell that she's much happier at home and able to see us every night, though she still cries when we go to work in the morning. But at least it's not as pitifully as when we sent her to my in-laws' place and that really breaks my heart.
And thankfully, Xin Lin was not affected though she had mild fever for a day or two the same week. But my hubby was not spared, he also fell sick last week with high fever. I realised that many people are falling sick nowadays. Maybe it's a new kind of mutated virus? Maybe it's the weather? Maybe we are really not as strong and healthy as before? Who knows?
