Princess Xin Rui Likes To Sing

Now that Xin Rui is 2 years old, I will not track her milestones by month. In the past, I will post an entry monthly on Xin Rui's milestones and developments. Now that she's already a toddler, well, actually she's already walking and running like a wild boar, there's no need to do it monthly. Hee!
Just realised that I didn't take much photos of Xin Rui for the past 2-3 weeks...

My little princess who loves to shake her head nowadays...

Not sure if it's in her genes, but Xin Rui loves to sing like me and my hubby. I can just sing a new song to her repeatedly for a few times and she can most or less follow the melody and lyrics. Last week, I sang the 'Happy Birthday Song' to her cos I want her to sing it to my hubby for his birthday this Saturday. After repeating the song a few times in Mandarin and English, she managed to sang along with me and was almost able to sing the whole song on her own. Gosh, it's destined that she's born a singer. Hahahaha! The list of songs that she can more or less sing include:

1) 妹妹背着洋娃娃
2) 泥娃娃
3) 自己跌倒自己爬
4) 两个小娃娃
5) 两只老虎
6) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
7) Elmo Song (Mostly only the lyrics 'La La La..haha!)
8) Mr Bean Advertisement Song (Actually, this song got no lyrics other than the word 'La, la, la...then Mr Bean' at the end of the song, haa!)
9) London Choco Roll Advertisement Song
10) Old MacDonald Has A Farm
11) She'll be Coming Round the Mountain
12) London Bridge Is Coming Down
13) Happy Birthday Song
14) ABC Song

Sometimes, she sings some unknown songs which I suspect that she learnt at the child care centre. She can also hum/recognise the National Anthem which all the kids sang at the centre every morning. In my opinion, it's quite impressive for a 2 yr old. Hee! No wonder experts say that kids at this age absorb knowledge like a sponge. It's very true indeed :) Xin Rui's vocabulary is also expanding rapidly. She's able to recognise much more things and say their name, like ice-cream, fish, cat, dog, shoes etc.

In addition, she's already to show some preference for the clothes that she wants to wear. She's quite a little vainpot. Sometimes, you ask her to wear certain clothes, she will refuse to put it on and go to her drawer and pull out pretty dresses instead. Hahaha. Unfortunately, she still does not like to wear any hair accessories. And all those pretty hairbands and clips that I bought are 'rotting' in the drawer. But she will put them on for a while if you praise her and say she's pretty. However, she will still want to take down the hairband and yet ask you to put it on and then take it down again. This normally repeat a few times until she gets sick of it and turn her attention to something else. :P
