Today, my little terror turns 20 months old. She's more active than ever and giving me more headaches too. Hahaha! She's still clingy to me and loves to be carried by me and me alone. But when I'm not around, she can be carried by almost anyone. She will cry when I put her down cos I think she feels that I'm going to 'abandon' her. Hahaha!
One of the 'rare' times when Xin Rui prefers Daddy to Mummy...hahaha!
She's more independent, eats by herself, runs and climbs stairs more steadily and tests more boundaries everyday. She knows what is right and wrong. I do not allow her to climb the sofa. But she still does it via the small chair or table beside the sofa. But when I called out to her and walked towards her, she will immediately jump onto the sofa and sit down even before I reach her. Sigh. Sometimes, she will just stop right in the middle of the corridor and refuse to walk. I once tested how far I can walk before she starts running towards me. I walked the entire length of the corridor (my block is very long) and stubborn Xin Rui simply refused to budge and continue to stand (sometimes squat) in the middle of the corridor and watch me go. In the end I had to go back and carry her.
Xin Rui's vocabulary is also expanding. She can say words like 'xing xing', 'flower', 'bear', 'qi chuang' and her recent favourite word, 'Aiyo'. Hahahaha. It's so funny to hear her say 'Aiyo!' and she will put in emotion when she says it...hee!
She will kiss me, my hubby and Xin Lin when we tell her to and she will run towards me to hug me when I spread out my arms and say 'Bao Bao'. Even though she can be a devil in disguise and stubborn at times. These are moments when she can melt my heart and make me forget how naughty she was a minute ago :)
