Anyway, we had a celebration for Xin Lin on Saturday and invited our loved ones and friends to share the joy with us. We received lots of ang baos, clothes and toys. Even Xin Rui was not left out and she also got a present from my auntie :) I only managed to open all the gifts this morning cos I was too busy taking care of my two princesses yesterday. A big thank you to everyone who has shown your love and care for my little Xin Lin :)

"Thank you, aunties & uncles for all the fabulous gifts !"

We were only able to take these photos after several attempts
as Xin Rui was rather grouchy :P

Did I imagine it, or is my little princess actually smiling for the camera? :)

My confinement lady left yesterday afternoon and I'm now left with the challenge of caring for my two girls. It definitely wasn't easy when both of them are crying. Though my hubby is there to help, Xin Rui seems to cling to me, preferring to climb onto my lap when I'm feeding Xin Lin. So we have no choice but to confine Xin Rui to the walker or high chair while my hubby is doing household chores and I'm feeding/changing Xin Lin.
Last night was also the first night that I left with the task of taking care of Xin Lin and Xin Rui. I try to let my hubby rest more as he needs to work the next day. As usual, Xin Rui refused to go to sleep early and when she saw me trying to feed Xin Lin who was crying, she passed her own bottle to me, as if telling me to feed Xin Lin with her bottle. So I say Mei Mei got her own bottle and put Xin Rui's bottle near the table beside me. Then Xin Rui took that bottle and passed back to me again for two more times before I finally just took the bottle and put it beside me. Hahaha!
Xin Rui finally slept around midnight but Xin Lin kept crying no matter what we do. In the end, we finally decided to put her in the sarong. It helped a bit but she will cry everytime the sarong stop swaying. So I have to keep swaying it. After one hour in the sarong, I fed her some milk and she pooed. After changing her diapers, she finally slept around 2.45am and miraculously, the peace and quiet actually lasted till around 7.30am this morning. I was rather surprised that she managed to sleep for so long as my confinement lady told me she will wake up around 2-3 times at night. So I guess I was lucky yesterday night but Xin Lin did make quite a lot of sounds while sleeping. It's as if she's pooing but she's not. But as long as she's not crying, I can just sleep and turn a deaf ear to those sounds. Hahaha!
As I'm typing this post, Xin Lin is sleeping peacefully, though she still makes some noise now and then :P Sigh....why can't she be like that at night? Why are babies so active at night? I think babies are meant to torture their mothers?? Hahaha!
