Xin Rui's 1st Year Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Xin Rui's 1st birthday today with our immediate family as my hubby's grandma just passed away last year and we couldn't have a big celebration. Nevertheless, it was still an intimate and happy celebration with our loved ones. I bought this adorable oriental-style pink dress for Xin Rui since her birthday coincides with the 2nd day of CNY this year. She looked lovely in her pink dress and pink shoes. I couldn't help but be proud that she's our gal. :)

My wonderful Mum and MIL helped to cook some yummy fried bee hoon, chicken wings, curry chicken, otak and ngoh hiong. I bought a small cake with Xin Rui's favourite character, who else, but Elmo. Hehehe! But I think the weather was too hot and Xin Rui wasn't very co-operative when it came to cake-cutting time. Hee! But my brother-in-law played her favourite Elmo Song and she was a happy baby once more. :)
