We finally brought our girls to the beach last weekend. It's the first time for both of them and I think they did not know what to do when they saw the sand. Fortunately, with a little coaxing and the sandcastle building toys that we brought along, I managed to pluck Xin Rui's paws (I mean fingers) off me and got her to play with the sand. Though she prefer to just scoop sand and dump them into the pail and pour them out and repeat the whole procedure than building a proper sand castle. She will destroy the sand castle that I painstaking built within seconds...I personally think she finds it more fun that way. On the other hand, Xin Lin surprised us when she was the one who got scared of the sea and sand and is a bit more apprehensive about playing with the sand. She prefers to stick to me rather than getting her hands dirty. So she just watched her jie jie play with the sand instead.

'Mei Mei, this is really fun, join me.'

'Here, take this.'

This is FUN!!!
Ta-da! Our masterpiece!
Unfortunately, half way through, it started to pour and we have to take shelter under the nearby pavilion. Hopefully we will be able to bring them to the beach when the weather is better...:)
