Our whole family had a busy day on Hari Raya Haji. Somehow, all our appointments were fixed on this public holiday. In the late morning, we got ready to go out to Botanic Gardens where we had our lunch with my secondary school buddies at Halia Restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. We had a good time and so did Xin Rui. I ordered fish so that I can share it with her and she loved it more than I do. Hahaha! But the dessert was quite good...:>
It started pouring and we stayed to have more dessert and chatting...something, we had not done for quite a while. And when there's babies and kids, it'e even more difficult to maintain a conversation without distraction...

Then we rushed off to Marina Barrage to meet my colleagues for picnic. By that time, Xin Rui was feeling a bit grouchy, tired and hot. She was perspiring and sleepy but still managed to smile for my colleagues. That's my smiley girl :> Oppss...nearly typed 'smelly'. Hahaha! We then tried to take some family photos but Xin Rui was much too tired and we did not managed to catch her sunshine smile. Nevertheless, we managed to take some decent pictures.

...then she started to be grouchy...

We tried to take a family photo ourselves...1st attempt...failed.

2nd attempt...Xin Rui eating her fingers...

Last attempt...finally, a decent photo...
Then it was off to Toa Payoh to meet my in-laws and my hubby's relatives form Malaysia. They are a nice and friendly bunch of people. But a pity Xin Rui was way too tired by then to smile nor interact.....After dinner, we still went to buy some drinks cos my hubby's relatives were coming to our house the next day to visit. By the time we reached home, all three of us were dead tired. But somehow, Xin Rui still find energy to crawl around after we sponged her. She only slept around 11pm. Phew! Well, at least we all had an enjoyable day :>

Xin Rui totally exhausted and sleeping in my arms....hee!
