Off to see the Gynae

At my 16th week of pregnancy, I weigh 52kg and my blood pressure and glucose level is normal. I also had my blood test done by an inexperienced nurse. Sigh. I could tell she was nervous when before she poked the needle into me. And I thought 'Sigh, nevermind lah, let her practice on me' since I was in a good mood. We spent a long time drawing out my blood because she forgot to release the band on my arm after she poked the needle in. I had to remind her to take if off in order for my blood to flow. I could even see blood oozing out from the side of the needle. But she was very apologetic so I couldn't really bring myself to be angry with her. Haa!

The test stick which I use to test my blood glucose level.

After that, we waited for our turn to see our gynae, Dr Koh and had our usual scan of Moo Moo. Everytime I go to see the gynae, I'm always anxious and keen to know how Moo Moo is doing. As usual, Moo Moo is active and rather co-operative. In fact, Moo Moo was sooo co-operative that we were able to know whether it's a boy or girl! But I'll keep you readers in suspense first. Make a guess and I'll let you know whether you are right. Hehe!

Here's Moo Moo at 16 weeks

We also got to know our OSCAR test result, ie, test for Down's Syndrome and I was relieved to know that Moo Moo's chance of getting Down's Syndrome is very low. Phew! We also got back the scans that we had a month ago at TMC and here are the adorable photos.

I also have to go for another detailed scan for Moo Moo next month to see if everything is developing normally. Hopefully Moo Moo will be just as co-coperative then :>
